For a time, Linda and Mike both worked together at Sperry Univac and Unisys, with Linda eventually moving to North Iowa Electronics in Garner. One of the jobs she enjoyed most was working as a lunch lady at GHV Elementary. She loved seeing the kids every day. Linda had a variety of interests over the years. In 2018, Mike & Linda took the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii, where they helicoptered over a volcano, ate lots of Dole Whip ice cream and enjoyed seeing all the wild chickens running around on the island. Last but not least, Linda believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and her faith was always very important to her and she shared that with others.
