Eagles’ Boys Track Wins in Armstrong

ARMSTRONG – On Monday, April 21st, the West Hancock boys track team participated in the Tom Elliott/Jim Godfredsen Relays and took first place out of six teams.
The Eagles won with a score of 223.5, North Iowa followed with 139 points, North Union took third at 100, GTRA scored 86.5, Harris-Lake Park came in fifth at 52, and West Bend-Mallard scored 47 points.
Brady Bixel took second place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.70, while Brandon Peterson came in sixth at 12.33.
In the open 200, Brady Bixel and Brody Dixon took second and third place with times of 23.87 and 23.95, respectively.
The Eagles won the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 45.80.
Dixon and Preston Gayken took second and third place in the 400 with times of 53.93 and 55.79, respectively.
The Eagles came in second place in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:34.61.
Cameron Fox and Carson Bruns took third and fourth place in the 800 meter run with times of 2:29.60 and 2:29.67, respectively.
The Eagles won the 4x400 meter relay at the 3:44.46 mark.
The Eagles came in second in the 800 medley relay with a time of 1:41.11.
In the 1600 medley relay, the Eagles came in third place with a time of 4:15.05.
Coen Witte ran the 400 meter hurdles and took second place with a time of 1:04.25, while Caiden Squier took fifth at 1:06.88.
Giovanni Garcia took first place in the long jump with a try of 20-04.00, while Carson Fox came in fifth at 16-07.00.
Witte and Kaden VanEpps tied for third place in the high jump with a try of 5-04.00.
Ray Gretillat won the shot put with a throw of 49-03.75, while Reese Luedtke came in third with a go of 41-01.25.
