Eagle Girls Sending 3 Events to State

NORTHWOOD – On Thursday, May 15, the West Hancock girls track team competed in the Class 1A State Qualifying Track Meet. The Eagles qualified three events to the state track meet. Results of the meet were unavailable at time of publishing.

State qualifiers are listed below:

The Eagles qualified for state in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 51.84. The team will be a 15 seed and will be run by Vanessa Nieto Mendez, Cameron Haugland, Aubrey Madson, and Iselle Weiland.

The 4x200 meter relay team claimed a 16 seed with a time of 1:50.99. The race will be ran by Nieto Mendez, Haugland, Madson, and Weiland.

Addison Friedow will be a seven seed in the discus with a throw of 118-09.

Other results from the Northwood meet:

3000 meter - Charlie Bruggeman was 3rd, Elli Christensen was 6th.

The Sprint Medey team came in 8th

4x800 team placed 2nd

Distance Medley team was 4th

400 Meter - Ava Keiper was 5th. Lauryn Johnson placed 7th

800 meter - Sophie Aitchison placed 8th

200 meter - Aubrey Madson was 7th

400m Hurdles - Lilly Kuppinger was 8th

1500 meter - Charlie Bruggeman was 7th and Tara Marchand was 8th
